Decisão de comitê em Lençóis Paulista ocorre após criança que recebeu dose sofrer parada cardíaca e ser hospitalizada
O município de Lençóis Paulista, no interior de São Paulo, suspendeu nesta quarta-feira (19) a vacinação de crianças com idade entre 5 e 11 anos em razão de uma criança de 10 anos ter sofrido parada cardíaca 12 horas após ter recebido a dose pediátrica da vacina da Pfizer. A criança tem quadro estável e está consciente, segundo o Comitê de Enfrentamento da Covid-19 do município.
A decisão de suspender a vacinação foi tomada pelo comitê um dia após o início da imunização das crianças na cidade, e vale por sete dias. Em nota, o órgão disse que “não existe dúvida sobre a importância da vacinação infantil”, mas que, diante do ocorrido, “será dado esse prazo para o acompanhamento e monitoramento diário das 46 crianças lençoenses vacinadas até o momento”.
Segundo o comitê, o prazo é necessário para o “aprofundamento sobre o caso de forma específica e o envio de relatórios aos órgãos de controle federais e estaduais”.
O município é governado por Anderson Prado de Lima (DEM). O secretário de Saúde da gestão solicitou autorização para acesso ao prontuário médico, uma vez que o atendimento ocorreu na rede privada. A administração municipal informou que a criança apresentou alterações nos batimentos cardíacos e desmaiou, segundo o relato do pai. Ela foi levada à rede de saúde particular e reanimada. Após ser estabilizada, a criança foi transferida para o Hospital da Unimed, em Botucatu, onde permanece sob observação.
Durante a reunião com o comitê, a prefeitura informou aos membros que, através da sua Secretaria de Saúde e da sua Vigilância Epidemiológica, já havia comunicado o fato à Secretaria de Saúde do Estado de São Paulo, através da Vigilância em Saúde, e que aguardava resposta e instruções dos órgãos responsáveis.
A vacinação de adultos segue normalmente no município.
